Second Grade Visit to City Hall
The second grade classes at Hudnall participated in an interactive field trip at City Hall on Feb. 18, 2015. Asst. City Manager Michael Falkow hosted the students. They got to tour the 911 dispatch center which showed how emergency calls were received and displayed on large computers. The computers showed important information such as phone numbers and street addresses. The tour also included spending time with Officer Kotani and his police canine dog Falko. The students observed many of the different commands which were given to the canine. In addition Police Chief Fronterotta gave all of the students badges and they got to be sworn in promising to be excellent citizens of Hudnall and Inglewood. The students also got to participate in a mock city council meeting and at the end they even got to meet Mayor James T. Butts. This outstanding field trip was a culminating activity after studying about the community.
